CSEA General Council

What are the Major Functions of General Council Delegates?

  • Adopt a CSEA budget to cover the period until the next GC convenes;
  • Elect CSEA's statewide officers; and
  • Review and establish policy and make changes in the Bylaws to meet the needs of the Association. This is done through the resolution process.

All rules governing General Council can be found in the CSEA Bylaws and Policy File (Adobe PDF).

Productive CSEA General Council consolidates reforms

Delegates to the 65th CSEA General Council held September 5-6 in Los Angeles, consolidated the reforms enacted in 2007 - bringing the CSEA bylaws up to date, passing a sound budget and re-electing incumbent officers.

A full report on all actions taken at General Council will be posted on this website by the end of the month or sooner. Here is a report of General Council actions on committee resolutions.

"Over the next three years we will continue to move forward on our strategic plan to make CSEA the most effective possible tool for our affiliates as they face continued attacks on active and retired state workers," said Hart.
