Want a Part-Time Job?

Get on the CSEA Retirees’ Annuitant List. Click here for the application.

The first stop for state retirees who want a temporary state job is CSEA Retirees, Inc.

State department officials looking for retired annuitants contact CSEA Retirees to get the list of our members who have completed the forms below. This is one of the many benefits CSEA Retirees offers exclusively to our members. If you or another retiree who want to participate in the annuitant list are not yet members, also fill out the membership application form for CSEA Retirees. Twice a year, CSEA Retirees compiles a list of members who want to return to state employment for the fun of it or because they need to make more money.

The names collected during this period will make up the list for the CSEA Retirees Annuitant List. A supplemental application will also appear in the California State Retiree, but interested annuitants need only fill out one of the two applications for each fiscal year.

State law allows state retirees to work up to 960 hours per fiscal year at a state job without losing any pension benefits.

Be sure to print or type your information. CSEA Retirees cannot process applications that are illegible.

The service by CSEA Retirees is limited to compiling the list of retirees interested in temporary work with the state and sending it to interested state personnel departments. Personnel officials from those departments will contact applicants if they need further information, recommendations or resumes.

While CSEA Retirees encourages retiree annuitant involvement, it does not provide individual formal representation for retirees who return to work as retired annuitants.
