The Legal Club of America® attorney network provides relief for the average, hard working, law abiding American by giving plan members peace of mind knowing that hundreds of legal services are readily available at low cost by qualified participating attorneys across the country.

CSEA Endorsed Family Legal Plan

For $12.00 per member per month, Plan members and their Families will have access to a nationwide network of over 20,000 plan attorneys. These attorneys have contracted with Legal Club to provide our members with discounted legal services.

Members will also have 24/7, 365 day access to identity theft restoration advocates who will assist members should they fall victim to identity theft.

Upon enrollment, CSEA members will be referred to a plan attorney that speaks their language, practices the area of law required and is conveniently located.

Each attorney will provide Legal Club members with nine free services:

• Initial phone consultation for each new legal matter (no time limit).
• Initial face-to-face consultation for each new legal matter (no time limit).
• Review of independent legal documents (6 page maximum per document, no limit to the number of new independent documents).
• Plan attorneys will prepare a free Simple Will for you and your family, as well as update the Will annually for free.
• A state specific, web based, free Living Will form is available to Members. This form can be taken to a plan attorney and completed by the attorney for free.
• Plan attorneys will help Members represent themselves in small claims court.
• Assistance in solving problems with government programs, such as INS and welfare.
• When deemed appropriate by your plan attorney, he or she will write letters on your behalf (one letter per legal matter, with no limit on the number of new legal matters).
• When deemed appropriate by your plan attorney, he or she will make phone calls on your behalf (one phone call per legal matter, with no limit on the number of new legal matters).

These are legal services that our plan attorney network has agreed to charge a one time, deeply discounted fee for:

Capped Hourly Rate

Legal Club plan attorneys contract to never charge more than $75.00 per hour for legal care that goes beyond the free and discounted services. This is where tremendous savings is realized. After the free letters, calls and consultations take place, members and their attorneys will have to decide what course of action to take next. In most cases, members will have no choice and litigation may ensue. This is the point in time that Legal Club plan attorneys charge the $75.00 hourly rate for legal care.

This represents up to a 70% savings off an attorney's usual hourly rate. The savings with Legal Club will be thousands of dollars.

Discount on Contingency Based Cases

Contingency fee will be a 10% reduction of the state maximum rate or the attorney's usual rate, whichever is lower. All Areas of Law Are Included.

Free Lifetime Membership Eligibility

After a Legal Club member has paid six (6) years worth of membership fees, they receive their Legal Club membership free for life. In the event a member's spouse survives them, they too will receive the benefits of membership, for free, for the remainder of their life.

All employees who officially retire from state service and have paid for three (3) years of Legal Club membership will be entitled to a free lifetime membership upon retirement.

Identity Theft Solutions

If a Member becomes a victim of personal identity theft, a Recovery Advocate will help the member restore their identity to its pre-theft state. The advocate will assist with the recovery process from beginning to end.

 Recovery Team Benefits

• Assess the extent of the damage
• Notifying the three major credit bureaus 
• Place fraud alerts with each bureau
• Create a customized recovery plan 
• Assist the Member with the restoration of their personal identity to its pre-theft state

Identity Theft Insurance Coverage

Each Member will also receive up to $25,000 worth of identity theft insurance coverage* to help offset some of the cost associated with restoring one's identity.

*This insurance is underwritten by a nationally recognized Insurance Carrier with an "A" or better AM Best Rating. Identity theft insurance is not available in NY State. Contact Legal Club of America for more details.  Restoration and Lost Credit Card Services are available to members and their eligible dependents.  Insurance coverage is limited only to the member.
