The California State Employees Association Foundation (CSEAF)
Founded in 1985, the California State Employees Association Foundation (CSEAF) is a tax-exempt, nonprofit corporation supported by fundraisers and tax-deductible contributions from CSEA members and the public.
The foundation’s fundraising goal for 2012 is $30,000. Several California State Retiree chapters have contributed to the foundation, including Chapters 20, 2, Chapter 14, 9, 7 and 5.
Presidents Roundtable Sponsors and Donors
The California State Retirees (CSR) Board of Directors this year voted to donate $1,000, and more than $1,200 has been raised through raffles during CSR board meetings. The California State University Employees Union (CSUEU) –an affiliate of CSEA also donated $860. Many more funds were raised through T-shirt sales and raffles at various events, including the CSEA Women’s Conference.
AGIA, an insurance company affiliated with CSEA Benefits, gave $1,000. Unitrin Auto/Home Insurance gave a case full of roadside emergency kits for raffle prizes; and Purchasing Power, a payroll deduction service, donated an I-Pad computer that was raffled at CSUEU Board of Directors and raised $1720.00 The Foundation thanks all 2011 donors for helping us reach our fundraising goal.
Our Goal is to provide college financial assistance to Children, Grandchildren and Spouse’s of California State Workers to live the American Dream.
Our Funds are raised by YOU
The Foundation is a grassroots organization. We travel from chapter to chapter, Union Board meeting to Board meeting talking to people and spreading our fund raising message. This past year was a banner fund raising success for the CSEA Foundation. We doubled our financial goal from last year thanks to generous donations of anonymous donors, chapters fund raising efforts and corporate sponsors. These donations will provide several scholarships for 2012.
